Terms of Service
By using EventETA you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Use of the service
EventETA enables opt-in location sharing for social events, starting one hour before your event. Use it only for lawful purposes that don't infringe on others' rights.
2. Accounts
You're responsible for your account credentials and all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old.
3. Location sharing
Location sharing is always voluntary. You may stop at any time. By sharing, you consent to your position being visible to the event host and guests.
4. Prohibited conduct
- Tracking someone without their knowledge or consent
- Harassing, stalking, or harming any user
- Attempting unauthorized access to our systems
- Using EventETA for commercial purposes without written permission
5. Content you post
Event descriptions, cover photos, chat messages, profile photos and anything else you put into EventETA stay yours. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your content, and to show it to the people you posted it to — your host, your guests, the event you posted it in. Nothing more. We do not license it onward, sell it, or use it to advertise.
You are responsible for what you post. Do not post anything you do not have the right to post — that includes photographs, artwork, music and text belonging to somebody else.
6. Copyright complaints (DMCA)
If you believe something on EventETA infringes your copyright, tell us and we will act on it. Send a written notice to our designated agent with all of the following, as the Digital Millennium Copyright Act requires:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
- Identification of the material you say is infringing, and enough detail for us to find it — a link, an event code, or a screenshot.
- Your address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for them.
Where to send it:
Email: dmca@eventeta.com
We remove or disable material that is the subject of a valid notice, and we tell the person who posted it. If you believe your material was removed by mistake you may send a counter-notice to the same address, containing your signature, identification of the material and where it was, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake, your contact details, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district. We may restore the material after ten business days unless the complainant tells us they have filed a court action.
We end the accounts of people who infringe repeatedly.
7. Disclaimers
EventETA is provided "as is." We don't guarantee the accuracy of real-time location data or ETAs, which depend on device GPS and third-party mapping services.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EventETA is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from your use of the service.
